Dr. Germán Valenzuela Basterrica

Germán Valenzuela was a dentist, who was involved and was an important piece in "Becker's case".

This story begin on 5th February, 1909. A fire cosumed completely the German Embassy. Baron Von Bodman, the German minister in that time, saw a dead-burn human body. He thought it was the embassador Guillermo Becker Trambauer, because it had jewels and clothes of the deceased.

After that day, people wanted to know who was guilty in the fire, and all indicate to an suspected man: the doorman of the embassy Exequiel Tapia.

In the autopsy, realized by German doctors, they said that really the corpse belong to the embassador.

But citizen started to think that maybe the guilty wasn't Tapia. So a chilean dentist doctor, Guillermo Valenzuela Basterrica, made a new autopsy and an unimaginable fact happened: The dead body actually was from Exequiel and not the German embassador. So the embassador should be alive.

Police looked for him and found him in Loncomay with money of the embassy. Finally Guillermo Becker was executed by fireman in 5th July, 1919.

Chile, honored of the case facing Germany, and the fact that the country saved the Estrecho de Magallanes, chilean government agreed to giving to Valenzuela what He wanted, and He wanted this Faculty, the Facultad de Odontología, making the best contribution to this career in that time, replacing the old Escuela de Odontología, and made this area of human health respectable and giving to Odontolgy a new vision.

His importance riside in the love and passion of what you want. He could choosed a car or a house with a pool, but not, He prefered to construct this Faculty, the first Faculty's Odontology in Chile, now under of the Universidad de Chile.

I din't know about him, untill in class named him and now I know the best story in all Universidad de Chile's Faculties.

That 2 days was so weird... and extravagant

Was 19th Nov. 2012. We had our tickets, our backpacks, food and some clothes for the night. "Lady Gaga" sounded in all TVs.

When I was younger, maybe you can't imaginate it, but I always loved rock and alternative music. Los Prisioneros, Pink Floyd, Led Zepellin... But I had a friend, who was for a long time my best friend, an artistic person. He loved to sing and dance, and well He helped me out of my regular reality and we both started to dance and to make shows in breaks on school, calling the attention of a lot of people.

They called us the "High School Musical's Boys" LOLOL but We didn't care. We drew all the time, we loved to sing and dance looking ridiculous, 'till now haha. But going to the point, He instilled me the art of Pop music. I didn't liked, just one singer: Lady Gaga. I like her music and liked her clothes. She is so extravagant, so irrealistic. She tries to show pasion, security, the "myself", all in an artistic way. Now I hate the "Lady GAGA" person, because she induces consumption and capitalism (All of us have to grow sometime in our life XD).

Sorry I'm deviating from the central topic ... yeah, finally I met other "little monster" friend and We went to Gaga's concert 19th Nov. We slept the night before concert in front of the Estadio Nacional ._. but was soo funnyy. Nice people, all singing, drag queens, gay's flags, women who looked like men, and vice versa, and both, and all makeup, all together, as if all of us knew each other before. I realized the fact about of how an artist can move so many people changing their desires, expectations, way of thinking like the way of dressing up... 

20th Nov. at about 9 pm. the concert started. I've never was so touched by people lol. I ended with 40 whatsapp's numbers (I'm kidding...) and then my friend and I left that place and we went back to our respective houses e-e.

Was the most weird and coloured concert that I've never have gone before.

Ok, I'm leaving you now, I have to study Histology. I wrote this because I'm poor of ideas XDDDD. See ya!

My cat

I took this photo. It is my cat, it's named "Quete". This picture was taken the last night that I had it. I like it so much because this picture remember me one of my best friends, was a part of the family. It shows my cat ill in my bed. It was so strong and made every effort to stay alive.

I had it 3 years ago. I had a lot of pets in my life but it was my first cat. I didn't like cats, but when it arrived, I changed my way of think... Now I love cats so much!

It liked to play a lot. Sometimes I played with my cat using a red laser, was so funny! It hated water and wind... I have videos of its face in stormy days...

Was Friday 25th of April of this year when It back home so sick. It coughed all the night, and we didn't know what happened to my cat, we were so frightened. We thought that it was some food that it ate Thursday's night. Me and my father took our cat to the vet, and for our surprise, the doctors told us that it was poisoned. My sister cried and I was sad.

My cat was hospitalized of emergency and They kept it until Sunday morning.

He back to our house, but was so tired, without its fur. It was shaking and didn't move. It tried to keep alive what it could. But it died Mondays 28th of the same month. Since that day, I apreciate my life, and the life of every single living being.

Please, take care of your pets and avoid every bad behaviour of any neighbor, so if you see them abusing animals, punch them in the face until it's too late.

Love pets and animals. We all are animals!

Now I will tell you what my blog is about:

I created this blog for english class, and I'm going to post in it topics that my teacher wants or other topics that could be interesting or that pursue the objetive of this blog.

And what is the objetive? I invented mythorcarie.blogspot.com for mostly publish about myths in the Odontology. "Milk teeth? that means that tooth is based on milk? What about cow tooth? Maybe they have stronger teeth that humans...", or "A baby, a tooth...".  My mission is to publish the "what people think or say" and search information about that and finally to post it, telling why and what of they are true and what doesn't.

I hope you enjoy reading this blog and to post any comment writing what myth you want to be explain... I will explain it for you!

My favourite piece of technology

is the Computer... by far the best machine created by man, father of the other machines incluiding the Internet. Computer + Internet: A universe full of information that expands as fast as the first few seconds of the Big Bang.

Why my favourite piece of technology is the computer? Well, first of all I loved technology since I was a kid, I really liked game's consoles, typewriters and other stuff. But when I had my first computer on 1999, that was the day when I discovered something that I loved so much. My favourite movie is Star Wars (when I was young I had a lot of album and action figures from that Saga, but I don't remember a lot of the movies, I'm so old xd) and the speed of light, chips and electronic pieces called a lot my atention. I thought I was a master of computers, although the only thing that I did often was to play and draw on Paint LOL. Then I learned about informatic, but It doesn't lasts a lot of time... My parents bought me games for the PC, boring games contained in 4-5 disquetheques of 12 mB per disc.

Then I played a lot of games like Age of Empires but it took a inesperable dump with the arrival of the Internet! I made a lot of friends, and was my refugee when I had problems in home. Call friends, games, editions, videos, books, forums... all in a single screen... I don't have a mobile or mp3 player. I just wait to back to my dad's house and be free of the World, learning what I want, meeting with I want, Fight with Noobs when I want. Maybe that sounds a little obsessive, but I'm not. Maybe I can use Social Networks on a tablet or other device, but the virtual experience of the power of a good CPU and having a good time playing Resident Evil or creating or editing or recording or learning programing of software doesn't compare to a 4" of an iPhone, in my opinion of course. But we have to accept that technology right now is a important thing on our Contemporanean life, whetever we like or not. It makes life simple, It's just the image of our individual being...
AND REMEMBER: technology must adapt to us, but we must never adapt to it!
I have a tablet just because I have all University's guides and electronic books in it. Sometimes comfort wins. All depend of the moment and the person who use it (:
